Learn the basics of bellydance with Eshe of Mahasti – The Bellyance Emporium an award-winning professional artist. Bellydance is a celebratory, social dance performed at family functions. It’s a gentle and fun dance great for all ages. We’ll start with a brief warm up. We’ll learn and practice some basic movements before stringing them together in a combination. Roughly every 30 minutes we’ll begin work on a new combination. Traveling, shimmies, graceful hands and arms, powerful and playful hip articulations – this workshop will cover it all. At the end of our 2 hour workshop we will have a short cool down. We normally dance barefoot or in socks. We wear yoga or workout gear. There is no need to show your belly. We strongly recommend bringing water.

Everyone is welcome to attend. No experience necessary!
