Just a reminder we are closed Monday October 8th for Turkey Day. The new session starts from Tuesday October 9th.
We’re also closed Wednesday October 31st but we’ve put a few extra classes on the calendar to make up for it. They’re all pay what you can so even if you don’t have a class card you can drop by!
We have fundraisers for The Bridge, Essential Aid & Thrive on the calendar too. Come out & support some amazing causes at Mahasti!

I recommend Basics or Feel Good classes if you new to the studio or new to the dance.
This week my (Eshe’s) Basics & Feel Good classes will focus on Hagallah – a root dance of bellydance. We’ll learn earthy hips, traveling steps, traditional rhythm and a dash of history at Mon 7PM, Tues 10AM, Thurs 10AM & Sat 10:45AM classes.
Looking for modern or fusion Basics? Try Angela’s Wed 6:05PM class or Faith’s Thurs 7PM class.
Just like ballet, you never get past doing the basics. They’re an integral part of the study. We have students who have been dancing for 18 years who still come to Basics. You’re never locked in, your pass is good for all classes at the studio. My strong recommendation is trying a Basics class for your 1st time at Mahasti.
Wednesdays at 7:10PM Angela is also leading an intermediate drop in class if that’s more your style.

On September 19th Eshe accepted a 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Award. The 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Awards give recognition to Hamilton’s next generation of business leaders. These 40 individuals are under 40 years of age and consistently make their mark in business and contribute regularly to their respective communities. Thank you Business Link Media Group!

This is a choreography class meant for children aged 4 and up. It’s a great way to spend time together and try something new. There’s no need to be a great dancer or have previous experience.
This class has an optional performance date Saturday December 17th at 7PM. I try to keep costumes as simple and affordable as possible, often dancers already have the pieces they need at home. Our last costume was just all black clothing with a hipscarf provided by me.
Join us Sat Oct 20th for bellydance in The Casbah! Guests are Kenzie, Dragonfly, Wild Orchid & Audra Simmons. Of course Mahasti will be offering up their own spooky takes on the holiday season. Show starts at 7PM sharp. Kids under 18 attend for free, everyone else is $15. The Casbah is located at 306 King St W, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Congratulations to all of the artists who shared their hearts at HIBC.
