Kids Bellydance Classes in Hamilton
New session for Caregiver & Me starts Sat 5/25 10-10:30AM
Drop in week 1 or 2 $10 (for 1 adult & 1 child, ages 6 & up).
4 classes $26.55+ tax (for 1 adult & 1 child, ages 6 & up).
Kids 12 & up can attend regular classes for 50% off.
4 classes $30 + tax. 8 classes $55 + tax. 24 classes $100 + tax. All classes expire in 3 months.
If there’s enough interest we can restart toddler classes

Little Ones Policy
Was inspired by this post that reflected so many of my own values so I Mahasti-fied it a bit.
1) All exclusively breastfeeding babies are welcome in class as often as is necessary. Tuesday and Thursday 10AM classes are a great option if you don’t have daytime child care but want to shimmy! I bring my own little one to class during those hours so this class is discounted to $5 cash drop in fee.
2) For older children and babies, I understand that unexpected interruptions in childcare happen. While this is not meant to be a long-term childcare solution, you may occasionally bring a child to the studio to cover gaps in care. Your class cards are also valid for 3 months so if you prefer to stay home you still have time to make up the class later in the session. We currently offer at least 6 drop in classes a week (often more) so you have a minimum of 72 chances to use your class card.
3) I ask that all students work with me to create a welcoming atmosphere that is respectful of all forms of diversity, including diversity in parenting status.
4) If your child needs special attention during class and is disrupting learning for other dancers, please step away into the next room until their need has been met.

New Mommy & Me Class – Next Saturday at Mahasti in Hamilton
This is a choreography class meant for children aged 4 and up. It’s a great way to spend time together and try something new. There’s no need to be a great dancer or have previous experience.
This class has an optional performance date Saturday December 17th at 7PM. I try to keep costumes as simple and affordable as possible, often dancers already have the pieces they need at home. Our last costume was just all black clothing with a hipscarf provided by me.

Open to any caregiver & child. Recommended for ages 4 & up. Optional performance opportunities. Dancers 11 & up (students attending school full-time) are welcome to attend our regular classes with a 50% discount.

— 1:00 PM – BELLYDANCE CRASH COURSE – A fast and fun family-friendly Bellydance class. All levels and all ages. 30 minutes.

-Kwanis Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton and their Indoor Skateboard Park, with equipment and instructions – Free

– Special area (non-supervised) for kids roller skating with their own equipment – Free

Kids Bellydance Class
Not just for mommies & daughter’s but any care-giver & child.
Learn Bellydance while having fun together Saturday mornings 10-10:30AM.
We recommend this class for kids 3-10 but if your child is a little younger or a little older & would enjoy the experience you’re welcome to come along. 1 drop in class is $10 (including taxes). 4 classes are $30 (including taxes).
We start with a short warm-up then move on to exercises & games to develop skill, posture, range of motion, flexibility or technique. Each class we also explore a bit of choreography.
If you have an older child, we recommend regular Bellydance classes. We offer 50% regular prices for full-time students buying regular class cards.

Harem 10 – Bellydance Show in Hamilton @ The Casbah
Our monthly show is Saturday, July 9th at The Casbah located at 306 King W, Hamilton.
It will feature Invoketress, Julie of BellyFlow, Wild Orchid Bellydance, Valizan & Shades of Araby as well as Raqs Mahasti (Eshe & Peggy). Our show always features a diverse range of styles & this one is no different -American Tribal Style, Egyptian, Fusion, Theatrical & more are all on the menu!
Doors open at 6PM. The show starts at 6:30 and lasts til 8PM.
Tickets are $15 at the door. The event is all ages. Kids under 12 are free.
Every show we also do a charity raffle & give away tickets to a future Harem or bellydance classes. This month’s charity will be SACHA (Sexual Assault Centre Hamilton).
